How do I sign up?

Submit your website through our Get Started Form. Our sales team will be in touch within 24 hours via email. They’ll be happy to answer your questions and work directly with you to generate a Chinafy plan. 

Do I need an ICP to use Chinafy?

An ICP (Internet Content Provider) certification is a permit issued by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) to permit China-based websites to operate in China. This means if you want to host inside of Mainland China, or use any CDN Points of Presence (PoPs) inside of China (i.e. via a China CDN), you will require an ICP filing or license. 

Chinafy can support both websites hosted in or outside of China. For websites hosted outside of China, we use an entirely offshore stack including near-China PoPs. Generally, the difference between a website hosted in or outside of China with Chinafy is only marginal. As such, the decision to host in or outside of China is up to you and your business needs. 

If you’re not sure about whether you need an ICP or not, you can complete our Get Started form to be connected with our ecosystem partners who specialize in this area.

If you already have an ICP filing or license, we provide the option to select onshore options within the Chinafy Partnership Networks. 

My website is officially blocked/censored. Can Chinafy help?

No. Chinafy is explicitly unable to work with site owners whose sites are officially blocked in Mainland China.
 
Oftentimes, a website’s content is not blocked in China - but its resources (e.g. YouTube, Google Maps) may be.

Do I need a China web host or server?

No. All Chinafy plans include fully-managed cloud hosting and CDN management for the Chinafy version of your site. 

Is there a discount for annual subscriptions?

Pro+ Plans have a 10% discount when subscriptions are paid annually compared to monthly. 

Do you support invoicing instead of credit card via stripe? 

Yes – we support invoicing for websites on an annual basis.

Do you offer Enterprise services?

Yes. Our Enterprise services combine Chinafy’s most advanced features alongside access to features including a dedicated account manager, expedited support, and vendor approval processes.

Can I cancel my Chinafy service?

You can cancel your Chinafy subscription at any time by removing the site from Chinafy Dashboard or by providing written notice to your account manager. Termination will be effective on the last day of the current billing period. Upon termination, you may revert Chinafy’s implementation by reverting your DNS or CDN go-live settings. After termination, Chinafy’s optimization services, including performance and caching, will no longer be applied to your website, and you will no longer benefit from the Chinafy platform.

What does my set-up and platform fee include?

Why is Set-Up & Configuration required for all Chinafy customers?

As part of this onboarding process, we have a team of technical experts who review any automated changes and run a performance analysis internally, before providing steps for your website to ‘Go Live’. 

Does Chinafy work with [name any CMS]? 

Chinafy is compatible with most CMS platforms that you may currently be using. Chinafy most often works with Wordpress, Adobe, Magento, Shopify, Pantheon sites and more. Unfortunately, Chinafy is currently unable to work with Wix platforms as Wix is currently unreachable in mainland China.
