Standard Manual Alternative Cloudflare

Standard Configuration

Fully-managed DNS & SSL services. Point your DNS to Chinafy's DNS, managed by AWS Route 53. Chinafy can then help add Geo-location at the DNS level, generate an SSL certificate automatically, and authenticate your site. Available for

all plans.

Point your DNS to Chinafy’s DNS (Managed by AWS Route53). This enables us to add Geo-Location routing at the DNS level. For users based in China (determined by IP address), Chinafy can then deliver the optimized site.

Static requests to the primary domain (i.e. www.yoursite.com) are handled by Chinafy’s CDN. For any dynamic requests, Chinafy’s CDN will send a request to the Chinafy Origin (via https), which will subsequently send a request to your origin (via https).

In the dynamic response, the Chinafy origin, will modify on-the-fly the requisite components for compatibility in China.

Chinafy reduces, where possible, the number of 3rd party domains placing static files on a single, distinct server: files.chinafy.com cached on our CDN. This ensures the webpage relies on as few 3rd party domains as possible.

Manual Configuration

Manual. Add Geo-location at your own DNS and send us a custom SSL certificate to authenticate your site. Available for

Pro+ plans and up.

You may alternatively add geo-location at your own DNS. This reduces the total DNS lookup time slightly, however it requires both the functionality and expertise in calibrating DNS load balancing on your end.

In these, cases, you will need to send your SSL cert to us to upload, and authenticate the site in China.

Cloudflare Configuration

Geo-IP based redirection at the DNS or via Cloudflare’s CDN. Available for users who use both Cloudflare and Chinafy

Pro+ plans and up.

For Cloudflare Enterprise users, you may add location-based routing at the DNS, and choose to not have Cloudflare CDN involved at all.

In these cases, Chinafy will deliver both the Primary and 3rd party domain files via our CDNS.

For non-Enterprise customers, or those that prefer the following approach, you may add Geo-IP based redirection at the CDN using Cloudflare Workers (instructions will be provided).

In these cases, Cloudflare will deliver the primary domain files for both global and China. For the China-specific HTML, Cloudflare’s CDN will retrieve and cache accordingly the optimized/compatible version from Chinafy.
